Ciao, an Archambault A40RC, finishes 3rd overall in IRC 3 and 1st in the Around the Island Race at the NYYC Annual Regatta in Newport.
Eric was onboards as mainsail trim.

Returning from two events in the 470 in Europe, Eric is back in Halifax and will not be continuing in the class, choosing to focus on his
weather consulting company and distance racing.

Eric raced in his first ever 470 regatta at the Miami Olympic Classes regatta, finishing 11th overall in the World Cup event.

Broadsword completes the 2008 Rolex Sydney Hobart race. Broadsword, an Achambault 40 skippered by Simon Wood, finished 9th in class 3. We were sponsoring the charity Children First Foundation
and raised over 50,000AUD. Eric was the navigator on Broadsword.

Gosford to Lord Howe Island Race. Unfortunately Broadsword, the A40 that Eric was navigating in the 2008 Gosford to Lord Howe Island race, was forced to retire from the race after a leech to luff tear in the mainsail below the top batten. The damage happened around 11pm as the boat was beating in 25-30 knots of wind approximately 80 nm west of Sydney.

Eric will be providing meteorological support to the Canadian Youth Sailing Championships from August 7-12th.

Eric raced the Chicago Mackinac race on Tyrant, finishing in 4th place in Div 1.

The Vic Maui Yacht Race starts on June 22nd. The boats are equiped with race trackers and can be accessed at www.vicmaui.org.
Eric is navigating on the Riptide 50 Strum.

The Centennial edition of the Chicago Mackinac race will start on July 19th. Eric will race on Tyrant, a N/M 43 that Eric last raced on in the 2004 Bayview Port Huron to Mackinac race.

Eric will Navigate the Riptide 50 Strum in the Vic Maui Yacht Race starting on June 22nd 2008. Strum is owned by Wink Vogel and designed by Paul Bieker.

Eric raced Key West Race Week as tactician aboard the M30 Kinetic IV, finishing in 6th place after 8 races.
August 18-23rd 2007,
The Melges 24 European Championship's took place in Neustadt, Germany. Eric was on ITA 571 Fishdog.
August 13-16 2007,
Storm force conditions forced much of the fleet to retire from the 2007 Rolex Fastnet race including the beneteau 47.7 Global Yacht Racing EH01 on which Eric was Navigator.
For the first time in the races history the start was postponed due to the storm forecast.
August 2-5th 2007,
J24 Canadian Championships, Shediac New Brunswick
Eric was tactician aboard Team BC, finishing in 7th place out of 25 competitors.
July 1st 2007,
Eric completes the Cadillac Van Isle 360 onboard the Mumm 30 Kinetic III.
The Van Isle 360 is a crewed 10 leg 600nm race circumnavigating Vancouver Island, Canada.
